Hello! UK-based Italian filmmaker here. Inclination towards dark, surreal or very gentle comedy. I am a human of few words but I'll try and not make it too awkward.
As a Writer/Director:
I am a lucky bastard. In 2014, I wrote You Are Whole for North American actor Fred Melamed (A Serious Man, Lady Dynamite, In A World...). Mr. Melamed, truly the most amiable of gentlemen, flew over to the UK and made the project a reality. The film, premiered at Palm Springs and Edinburgh and landed online as a Vimeo Staff Pick in 2016.
My latest short A Disappearance (starring Sophie Thompson, the most amiable of gentleladies) started its festival run at Vancouver International Film Festival and Underwire, and is written and directed together with my filmmaking partner Laurence Brook, and produced by Rebecca Morgan. Together, we have founded Butthead Films because we enjoy being embarassed by the names we give to things.
As an Editor:
I have worked on commercials, short films, music videos, Premiere League promos, corporate and educational content. I have worked for BeIN Sports, Manifest, Box Media and Pulse Films. I have been an Assistant Editor on feature and short films, as well as music videos.
I have been an Editing Lecturer for Scuola Holden, Warwick University, London South Bank University. I have been an Editing Teaching Assistant for The London Film School.
I edit on Avid Media Composer and Premiere Pro, and have experience on DaVinci Resolve, ProTools, After Effects.
I am represented by Edit Collective.
I have worked as an English-Italian Translator on short-form fiction and novels (Ready Player One by Ernest Cline - now a major motion picture!) This work has crossed over to film with projects from HBO, VICE/Google, We Are Fearless, and Wildside Productions, where I have been translating some of Paolo Sorrentino's works-in-progress.
I have worked as a 1st Assistant Director on projects for Secret Cinema, Almased and FaceGym. Please get in touch for a full CV.
I have a 10-year background as a Journalist and an MA from the London Film School. I am a BECTU member.
